Hi, jerryrcole, thanks for the review.
The work-around you mention is a standard procedure of WordPress if you want to serve your WordPress install over HTTPS.
Although this feature could be implemented, the main purpose of this plugin is to fix a problem that occurred on some websites that while everything was served over HTTPS(even while navigating), if you specifically tried to access a page via HTTP (via url) it won’t redirect to HTTPS.
Thanks for getting back to me Kostas. The instructions for your plugin indicate that once I install and activate the plugin, then all pages/subpages will be redirected to SSL (which they do not based on these instructions alone).
How about this — if you add steps in the instructions for your plugin indicating that the WordPress address and Site Address parameters should be updated to reflect https, then notify me and I’ll change my feedback from a 4 to a 5. Is that fair?
CURRENT INSTRUCTIONS
- Install as a regular WordPress plugin.
- Activate the plugin.
- Now all pages/subpages will be redirected to SSL.
