    do you mean the title from YouTube isn’t shown in the player? that is normal behavior for widgets I’m afraid.

    The other bug is that the cache keep static, I can’t make to renew the thumbnail cache when my playlist is updated.

    you will indeed have to clear the cache manually.

    hope this clarifies,
    frank

    Thank you for the fast reply Frank!
    – I mean the title in the widget title field. May be was a problem with my theme or some plugin, but I’m advice you in case of this behavior becomes a rule with other users.

    – I triyed to renew manually the cache several times without results, I even disconnected my cdn and hyper cache plugins, but was impossible.

    – An option to show the first video title in the thumbnail (using the playlist code) would be a great addon.

    Have a great weekend and thanks for this great develop.
    Javier.

    Hey Javier;
    re. widget title; if you can provide me with your site’s URL I’d be happy to take a look

    re. thumbnail; afraid LYTE takes the playlist thumbnail from YouTube’s API response, so if the answer from YT does not change then the thumbnail does not change. what you could do is use LYTE’s API to overrule the thumbnail? there’s example code at https://github.com/futtta/wp-youtube-lyte/blob/master/lyte_helper.php_example#L92-L96

    Thanks for the reply and the code.

    1) The cache problem was a conflict between “CDN Enabler” and “Hyper Cache” plugins. I solved it installing the CDNSUN plugin. OK.

    2) I found out the problem my with the titles, but not the solution. It’s happen when in functions.php the Widget titles are wrapped in any way. For example:

    register_sidebar(array(
    'name' => 'my_bar','id' => 'my_bar',
    'before_title' => '<div class="my_class"><h3 class="my_title_3">',
    'after_title' => '</h3></div>'
     ));

    or registering the sidebars alone (without wrapping them), but in the end, wrapping all the widget titles with a little function like this:

    add_filter( 'dynamic_sidebar_params', 'b3m_wrap_widget_titles', 20 );
    function b3m_wrap_widget_titles( array $params ) {
    $widget =& $params[0];
    $widget['before_title'] = '<div class="fonditulo"><h3 class="titulo">';
    $widget['after_title'] = '</h3></div>';
    return $params;

    or this

    add_filter ( 'widget_title', 'b3m_add_span_widgets' );
    function b3m_add_span_widgets( $old_title ) {
    $title = explode( " ", $old_title, 2 );
    if ( isset( $title[0] ) && isset( $title[1] ) ) {
    $titleNew = "<div class='fonditulo'><h3 class='titulo'>$title[0]</h3></div> $title[1]";
    } else {return;} return $titleNew;
    }

    Any of this well-known wrapping systems, causes that, when I write on the widget title field, the video thumbnail disappear.

    I have made a separate installation for you in:
    http://desarrollo.extranoticias.cl

    user:
    frank

    password:
    3r4nkmatter.

    There, on the left hand, I put 2 widgets, the first with a Title and the second without.

    3) You can compare http://desarrollo.extranoticias.cl with the official http://extranoticias.cl, where is running the plugin “Lazy Load for Videos”, you will discover another bug in your plugin; Using a native text widget with playlist shortcode like this: [lyte id="PL54QZG7IYSBFGPeFWVDnW97tP1S0BGyzg" playlist="true" /] the plugin shows the thumbnail of the second video on list, and not the first.

    Using the dedicated widget of WP YouTube Lyte the thumbnails appear correctly, but to see only one video. Even using something like this httpv://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA486E741B25F8E00 the playlist does not work.

    Any help will be welcome.
    Thank you.
