works great, but wp-login.php still redirects me to the ugly dashboard

    When users login via /wp-login.php, for example when they click on their new user verification emails, they are sent to the dashboard. I would like for users to be able to click on their verification emails and have them directed to the home page of the site where they can then login via sidebar login. Is this possible? (I know this is probably not related to the plugin, but thought I’d ask anyway because I really need this to work.)

    Figured it out:

    1) Download this plugin: http://www.theblog.ca/wplogin-redirect

    However, even with this plugin, users can still access /wp-admin.

    2) To prevent this altogether, put this in your functions.php.

    if ( is_admin() && !current_user_can('manage_options') ) {
        wp_redirect( get_bloginfo( 'url' ) );
    }
