Support » Plugin: FileBird - WordPress Media Library Folders & File Manager » Works great, but non-premium version is crippled

  • The features available in the free version work well in my limited experience, but the decision to limit it to just ten folders is arbitrary and, IMHO, totally unnecessary. I can understand wanting to incentivize paying for a more complete feature set but this is a somewhat severe limitation, and there’s no discernible technical reason for it. I will be switching away from this plugin in favor of media-library-organizer.

    Hi @acobster ,

Thanks for using FileBird and I’m sorry to know about your dissatisfaction over the Lite version limits to 10 folders.

We do hope you understand from a developer’s point of views, the reason why we have decided to create a premium version, as some of these tools also need regular updates and maintenance and there is a team of developers behind the desk that have to be there to d all these and to check bugs, fix issue etc.

We also have some totally free plugins we have contributed to WP community, so I hope you could manage to pay the little, one-time fee to upgrade FileBird to premium version, since you loved it.

    Thank you.

    Kind regards,
    -Bruce-

    Hi @acobster,

FileBird now supports unlimited folders, could you give it a try again?

    Cheers!

We will probably not be migrating back for the project in question, but I have taken this information to the team and we may end up using Filebird on future projects again. I will update this review if we do.
