Works for admin but not for other members

I installed BuddyPress Activity Plus on my membership site and absolutely loved the capabilities until I found out it would only work for me as a Super Admin. When ordinary members try to use it the process works up until viewing the preview but on posting everything disappears. I’ve tried it with a variety of different themes including the current one which is BuddyPress compliant but results still the same.
I’ve had to remove the plugin from the site as it is frustrating for members to try and fail.
