• Regarding Version 4.14.4, there are little to no instructions. The green checked items in the comparison chart for the free version are not all available. Putting the path in the base directory in settings for the file folder you want to use does not work… all content ends up in wp-content/uploads. In the “Instructions” it says that any folder within wp-content can be used. The “File Browser” tab in settings shows the correct content path, but the files don’t upload into there.

Hi, if you visit the website of the plugin, http://www.iptanus.com, you will find dozens of articles with information and instructions about the plugin.

The Free version functionalities are exactly as advertised. I assume you have configured the plugin in such a way that all uploads will be forced to go to the default uploads folder, regardless of what you put in uploadpath.

This happens when you have activated “Add Uploaded Files to Media” or “Attach Uploaded Files to Post” options.

    Regards

WordPress File Upload Features (where are they?)

    Additional form fields?
    Email notifications and redirections?
Filter file sizes, extensions, user role?
Advanced customization through filters and actions?

This is the only useful information, and it is only partially true:
“Simply put the shortcode [wordpress_file_upload] to the contents of any WordPress page and you will be able to upload files to any directory inside wp-contents of your WordPress site”.

The screenshot of the plugin looks nothing like Version 4.14.4.
Instead of “Upload path” there’s “Base Directory” which is supposed to be a specified sub-path of wp-content.
    (This file …/wp-admin/plugin-install.php?tab=plugin-information&plugin=wp-file-upload)

Where is the documentation on the shortcodes? What is a shortcode generator? There isn’t one.
