• After hours of headache looking for a solution to Varnish not purging after a Multisite subdomain theme change doesn’t not show in the subdomain site (domain mapped), this fixed everything in a single swing and now Varnish is purged not only during content edits/changes/additions, but updates to other WP elements as well (like theme changes).

Glad to hear it’s working okay on Multisite. I haven’t had enough testing on it!

Absolutely, Mika. And fwiw (and future updates), at first it didn’t seem work, but it turns out, it seemed to go in conflict with W3 Total Cache, and when I disabled WT3C, everything went great.

W3tc has a varnish purge feature, so you should be able to use that instead, but not with. The logic between the plugin’s is very similar.

OK that makes sense; but aye, that is what was puzzling, because but it actually didn’t work (W3TC) for when it was themes that were updated (it worked for updates to general content like posts and comments; or when manually purging via button/menu; but not when themes were changed).

That is what led me to install VHP in the first place, and that’s what made it work (after disabling W3TC).
