Support » Plugin: Code Embed » Workaround for Custom Fields Not Showing up

  • After updating to WP 5.3 our Custom Fields disappeared and we couldn’t find the FAQ mentioned in the Plugin page that discusses the problem. To get back running quickly, you can simply log in to your MySql/PHPMyAdmin and find the data in the table: Posts_meta. Do a search for the word CODE and you can go through and find each of your rows with your custom CODE saved.
For instance, (6105, 8160, ‘CODEOffAdd’, ‘<span>123 Fake Street, FakeCity, TX, 78224</span>’),
In this case, 8160 is the Post_id of the post where we have instructions saved for our admins to see what the codes are.
I then made a list of our Custom Codes in a page that is not published.
The existing Custom Codes can be edited there in the PHPMyAdmin.
Presumably, you can add another Custom Field by adding another row in the Post_meta table, just use that same post_id from your other rows.
