I’m trying to use this plugin on a WP site that is installed on an NGINX server. The plugin isn’t redirecting to the specific page, only to the homepage and it’s displaying the primary URL instead of the mapped URL.

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

    hy,
the plugin is only doing php-operations so it works on nginx as well. this sounds more like a basic setup-issue. there are a few threads here about correct domain- and hosting-setup.
please have a look and report back if it works or if you need help.

I’ve double-checked the settings and cannot find any problems, but still the redirects are not working. At this point, I’m not sure if the problem is the plugin or my host, Flywheel (since they have a very specific hosting setup).

Domain A is the primary domain. I have Domain B pointed at the host’s A record. I have Domain B setup as an alias on Domain A’s Flywheel account. I can confirm that Domain B does indeed take you to Domain A. I have configured in the multi-domain plugin for Domain B to point to Domain A/page. I have also checked many times to make sure the entered page is exactly the correct URI (including the preceding /). However, Domain B will not redirect to Domain A/page, it only goes to the home page of Domain A.

I’m also going to contact Flywheel support to see if they can help me with this.

    hy,

if you enter domain B and then see domain A in the address bar, it is a redirection. this would not work with the plugin.
the plugin will only work if you enter domain B, which remains in the address bar but displays content from domain A 🙂

Thank you, that makes sense. And Flywheel doesn’t give me that much control — I enter domains as aliases and apparently it just redirects.

Thanks for your quick and helpful responses!
