Work Great but should change the class="popup"

  • “Note:
If you are using any other plugin (or a theme) that uses a shortcode with the name ‘popup’, you will not be able to use this plugin.”
If you know this already you should use more specific class name like “A-popup” or “Alligator-popup” to avoid conflict.
I have to edit the name to avoid conflict with my theme.
You would want to have a plugin that work with any themes.

    Thanks for the plugin.

Thank you for the review. I am afraid I do not agree with your opinion that I should have used a different shortcode. I made this plugin with the intention of it to be an easy to use and lightweight single-function plugin with a memorable shortcode.

There is no reason for a theme to include such a shortcode, as this kind of functionality is clearly plugin territory.

I added the note in the documentation about the possibly of shortcode name collisions for the benefit of people using themes that are doing it wrong.
