    Hi Tobias,

    I’m creating a new site using twenty nineteen and I noticed that the words inside the tablepress are being cut on a per letter basis instead of whole words if i use this css

    .tablepress .column-1 {
    width: 20% !important;
    }

    I need to set a consistent column 1 width so it’s messy to look at as you go from page to page cause they all have the same format.

    And if I remove that css, it’s fine. The same text looks fine outside tablepress.

    Hi,

    thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

    The cause for this are the default word-wrapping settings in your theme. To turn that off, please add this to the “Custom CSS” textarea on the “Plugin Options” screen of TablePress:

    .tablepress td,
    .tablepress th {
        word-break: normal;
    }

    Regards,
    Tobias
