There seems to be a fair bit of this on the forums but I haven't got my head round it yet.. Any help greatly appreciated..

I have a site on 123-reg called http://www.villasforrentinturkey.co.uk which is hosted on my neillyshand.info and has the domain mapped to it. I want to add a blog to it and I've installed the wordpress files as the instructions. When I try to log in I get the following message...

/wordpress/wp-login.php was not found on this server.

Any ideas? - I just want a simple blog as part of the site.

http://www.villasforrentinturkey.co.uk/wordpress/wp-login.php gets me a login prompt. Not properly formatted, but a login, nonetheless.

Quite tellingly, http://www.villasforrentinturkey.co.uk/wordpress/wp-admin (which should also give me the login prompt) gets me http://www.villasforrentinturkey.co.uk//web/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.villasforrentinturkey.co.uk%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1

Likewise, what should be your WordPress public home page http://www.villasforrentinturkey.co.uk/wordpress/ gets me the correct contents, but not correctly formatted, which indicates a missing .css file. Most likely, WordPress is looking in the wrong place for it.

Off hand, I can't tell what is causing the problem, but the most likely reasons are an .htaccess file or the domain mapping you are using from neillyshand.info. I would also be checking the URLs in General Settings, which you may have to viewed directly in the WordPress database if you can't login.
