Correct me if I am wrong, but it used to be possible to list Themes by Rating and not just by Popularity to have a notion of quality right? * I think that it’s quite bad to only have Popular as an index. Popular does not account to quality. * I use Atahualpa theme and was looking for alternative themes with lots of costumization or with such quality. Atahualpa theme rates at 4.5, while the first theme in Popular rates at 4, and there are even four themes in the first “Popular” page that rate at 3. Anyone serious couldn’t care less about how much traffic a theme generates, just how good it performs. And the user rating is that evaluates that- * Please give us an option to list themes by Rating. How, am I supposed to dig the themes with better approval rating? * Thanks Have a good day. Might not be considered quality by an expert that analysis much more than an average user, but usually when I vote 0-5 I vote according to how good the theme or plugin performs for what I was looking for. Sure, the next guy might be looking for something else… * Popularity is based on what? Download? You may have once used the plugin, but you may not now. Especially when both of us made valid points that they have their flaws (even if I still think Rating is better and you that Popular is better). * I correct my self, Plugins seem to have the “rating” option. * Why no Themes, too. Can’t list ’em for plugins either, mind. * It’s not an easy metric to sort by, though I’d like to see it listed along side popularity. * “Oh, Foobar is very popular but has 2 stars? Gee, everyone must have downloaded and hated it.” * But then again, I don’t feel that searching by either popularity or rating helps as much as individually reviewing and judging each theme (and plugin) by its merits.
