# WordPress.org Error messages from wordpress install

 * I was having errors, I thought it may have been a bad install of 3.7.1
    so I 
   removed it and installed 3.8.1
 * I am still getting wordpress.org errors. now this latest one is:
 * Download failed. Couldn’t resolve host ‘downloads.wordpress.org’
 * This is on a dedicated server, I have not seen any issues at all, until tonight.
 * Is wordpress.org down for some reason?
 * This is a brand new install and I’m not understanding why it is failing.

 * No. It’s working as you can see here. This is a hosting issue – possibly a DNS
   problem.
