# WordPress.com to wordpress.org not working

 * Last night I decided to transfer my wordpress.com website to a wordpress.org 
   site so I can add plugins and customize it. I signed up with Bluehost and had
   the domain transferred over. It instructed me to go through “SimpleScripts” to
   download WordPress 4.0, which I did. It said it was successful but when I go 
   to the new admin page, it gives me the same wordpress.com setup and I have no
   way of adding plugins. Now my site is down and I need help!

 * I’m having the same problem. I updated my wordpress.com blog to wordpress.org,
   hosted on blue host. I am keeping the same web address. I downloaded my xml file
   and changed the nameservers, but when I go to login at the wordpress admin page,
   it redirects me back to my old wordpress.com site. Is this just an issue with
   the nameservers not having enough time to update?

 * This relative old thread. To get full attention to your specific issue, my suggestion
   would be to start your own thread. Despite any similarity in symptoms, your issue
   is likely to be completely different because of possible differences in physical
   servers, accounts, hosts, plugins, theme, configurations, etc. Thus one problem,
   on one setup is not indicative of the functionality and reliability of an application
