# WordPress.com Stats Plugin Error

 * I am a newbie to wordpress.org, although I currently have a few wordpress.com
   blogs. I am trying to install the “wordpress.com stats plugin” and it states 
   I need a wordpress.com account.
 * In order to activate the plugin, I need to enter a wordpress.com api key, which
   I got from my current wordpress.com account, but it’s stating the following:
 * “WordPress.com Stats needs attention: please enter an API key or disable the 
   plugin.”
 * What am I doing incorrect?
