# WordPress.com Stats doesn’t work

 * I’ve been using the new WordPress.com stats plug-in ( [http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/stats/))
   on my blog ( [http://victoria-e.com/](http://victoria-e.com/) ) for the past 
   week and a half. A few days ago, I changed my layout/template, and now the plug-
   in hasn’t been tracking anything on my site. I deactivated and reactivated the
   plug-in yesterday, and still nothing.

 * According to the stats plugin FAQ:
 * > What if the stats don’t start showing up? Do I need anything special in my 
   > theme?
   > Yes, your theme must have a call to <?php wp_footer(); ?> at the very bottom
   > right before the </body> tag.
 * Do you have this setup in the theme you switched to?

 * Which file should that be in? Does it say?

 * I just checked most of my files for the layout and it does list that footer code,
   thought I didn’t see much mention of </body>

 * There shouldn’t be “much” mention… only one. It should be the second last line
   in footer.php. It’s there I can see it in the source code.
