  • Are you sure the account you are trying to connect with is WordPress.com not WordPress.org?

    Hi,
Yes, quite sure. As I said I seem to still be able to use the older username as well. The new password is now working but not when I try with the jet pack thing. Perhaps these things take a wee while to update? Never thought so though.

    Thanks,
    D.

Do you have WordPress app on your IOS? As on settings you can connect to WordPress.com as that’s what worked for me.

@daibhidh If you had previously created a WordPress.com account, but forgot the password and can’t seem to log in anymore, you can request a new password by entering your email address here:
    http://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword
Please follow the instructions carefully. You’ll receive an email during the reset process, so make sure you read it for important instructions. If you don’t receive the email right away, check your spam folders as well. The confirmation email can get caught in them sometimes.

Please note that WordPress.com accounts are different from the account you use to administrate your blog. WordPress.com and self-hosted blogs available through WordPress.org are two different entities.
Please check out the following links to learn the differences.

If none of this helps, do not hesitate to send us an email from your WordPress.com account email address, and we’ll help you log in.
