• A couple of days ago, all my wordpress.com links stopped working inc. akismet, jetpack and rss feeds.

In any case, my Akismet account has disappeared, that is, there’s no record of it existing (I’ve have the same acc. since 2008). I have the awful feeling that my account has been hacked.

Are you referring to the notice in your dashboard asking you to sign up for a subscription? If so, not to worry: your Akismet API key is still valid, but we’d just like you to confirm how you’re using it by associating it with an Akismet subscription.

If you have any questions, you can followup here or by contacting support@akismet.com.

Yeah but when I did that, it told me I had no account!

    “Your subscription is missing.

Since 2012, Akismet began using subscriptions for all accounts (even free ones). It looks like a subscription has not been assigned to your account, and we’d appreciate it if you’d sign into your account and choose one. Please contact our support team with any questions.”

So I did that but there’s no account to sign into, so I logged in and got this msG:

    “No subscription found!

Thanks for logging in! It looks like your account does not have an active Akismet subscription.

If you need to change or cancel an existing subscription, please contact Akismet support and we’ll help you find the right account. Make sure you include as much information as you remember to help us identify the right one.
If you don’t yet have a subscription, you can sign up for one now.
