 * I found a pretty bizarre problem. The server itself is showing up frequently
   in the Apache logs, with the client “WordPress/4.8; [https://my-site.com&#8221](https://my-site.com&#8221);
 * It claims to be referred from a particular page and retrieving that page over
   and over. I’m using ithemes and have XML-RPC disabled and the REST API restricted.
   Nonetheless the logs were filling with this entry over and over.
 * The page in question is one page of our blog from 2007, I took out and looked
   at the post content and found nothing special.
 * What would make the wordpress HTTP client access a particular page like this?
 * Thanks!

 * It’s a problem with a particular plugin, which we have deactivated and will replace.
