# WordPress Wont Update

 * I am currently trying to update to 3.0.3 but it wont do it, it just gets to the
   process of:
    Downloading update from [http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.0.3.zip…](http://wordpress.org/wordpress-3.0.3.zip…)
 * and thats it.
    Same thing happened with 3.0.2, I ended up doing it manually which
   I prefer not to do as the downtime of the site is greater when doing it manually.
 * I tried deleting the upgrade dir and recreating it with chmod 777 but that didnt
   do the trick.
    I have had this problem since 3.0 just hoping that maybe one of
   the updates would actually resolve it.
 * By the way the hosting server uses php5
 * If i put another worpress site in the same server, it will update just fine without
   problems.
 * Any advice would be great 🙂

 * yeah t-p but that defeats the purpose of doing an automatic update, more than
   likely if there is a new update e.g. 3.0.4 then I would need to also do a manual
   update :/
