I just installed the newest version of WordPress on another server, and I’m having a really wierd issue with it…

Every time I try to view the site, it tells me “It doesn’t look like you’ve installed WP yet. Try running install.php.” The thing is I have ran install.php. I went ahead and tried running it again, but when I run it, I get this: “You appear to have already installed WordPress. To reinstall please clear your old database tables first.” This isn’t an attempted upgrade or move – this is a fresh, spanking new install, new site, new server, and new database. Could someone help me out with this? It’s really got me baffled.

*nods* I double checked the config file…

It turns out the issue was a host conflict. My webhost has put an index.html file in the folder for my domain since it hasn’t gone through the dns servers yet, and that file was something conflicting with WordPress and making it think I hadn’t installed it.
