• My website links are not working when I open the website either on Chrome or Edge. Firefox is working as it should be.

The issue is that when I click on any link nothing happens unless I right-click and select “open link in new window” or “open link in new tab”.

I have updated all plugins and theme. I have tried troubleshooting and installed the default Twenty Twenty theme which worked well. I use a Keon Theme Business Consultr.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • There seems to be some code there that is interrupting the normal actions for hover and clicking on links.

I’d say, it’s your theme, but it may be a plugin causing this.

What I’d do if I was you jump into my plugins directory and rename that directory temporarily then swap out my theme for a generic theme to makes sure everything works…

If everything is normal when you do that then swap the theme back and retest.

Start bringing back the plugins one by one while testing them until you find the culprit.

The problem is caused by some deprecated jQueries. You can install the “jQuery Migrate Helper” plugin and activate it.

It’s an official WP plugin made to give time to fix broken themes to work properly with WP 5.6 and later.

Unfortunately, while the developer updated the paid version they didn’t fix this. 🙁
