  • Why is right click disabled?

I don’t know, but I read that it protect the content from copycats. Does it affect user experience?

If someone is determined to copy there are several other methods. One such, though a little time consuming, is this.

The way the web works is that you have to download a webpage to view it. This means you are automatically downloading the images on the webpage when you are viewing it, to be able to view it. Have you ever checked your machine’s temporary files? That is why people just say not to put an image on the web if you don’t want to share it.

I don’t think disabling right click will do anything but annoy users and take away some users’ ability to navigate the site.

I read that it protect the content from copycats.

It’s not effective and never works. You just annoy your readers that way which is not a good idea.

The folks who want to steal your content and images can just get around that with a couple of key presses. Really, you only annoy your readers when you disable right click.

I would like to say a few other things instead.
Layout is pretty spacious and neat, colors are subtle and delivers a professional look. Although, If it was me I would relocate the search module and perhaps use a responsive theme in order to tap clients with mobile devices. Overall it is nice and gets the work done I guess.

Thanks for all the pointers! Greatly appreciated.
