• I created a plug-in that imports usernames from Invision Power Board to WordPress, but the new WordPress version 2.5.1 does not allow import of any UPPER case letter in a username, for example:

My forum name is EJRaven, in order to login I have to write ejraven (all lower cased) in order for WordPress to recognize me.

I looked around these forums and all I see is lower cased display names also, can someone explain what happened and why this version is messing the usernames this way?

    Look at your own?

if you created a plugin to import the names, than done correctly, you can control the uppsercase/lowercase bits anyway.

I can tell you that WordPress does not enforce case restrictions on usernames. I, in fact, just last week, registered using a mixed case username as a test on a sandbox install I had, and it worked just fine.
