Support » Fixing WordPress » WordPress URL Changed and can't find my local site

  • Hi, I have done what everyone seems to have done. Changed my URL in settings on WordPress. I have downloaded MYPHP Admin to fix but the installation seems so complicated and I don’t really know what I am doing.

I haven’t connected to my hosting yet (site is just on my comp) – I changed the URL to try and connect with it but now I can’t get into the MAMP start page (the button is greyed out) so I can download my site.

Clearly I am confused. I have to show my site in a presentation tomorrow. Please HELP!

  • Simply go to phpmyadmin select your wordpress database browse wp-options and change the site url back to localhost

Hi, Many thanks for your response. Do I have to instal MYPHP Admin, it seems very complex to install? Is there any other way?

ps – this are the instructions I have. I am concerned I will make an error as I have been told phpMYAdmin is such a powerful tool.
