Hello: I’m new to WordPress and the forums, so please bear with me. I’ve been trying to find a solution for my issue in the forum and documentation, but haven’t so far and thought I’d ask.
Just after WordPress was installed on my site (installation done by my host, Dreamhost), I was in the Dashboard and accidentally changed the WordPress URL in Settings to http://teaandthunder.com/lettersfromseattle from the URL where is was originally installed and the blog had been up and running – http://teaandthunder.com. When I realized this, I went back to Settings, changed the URL back and saved the changes. I logged out. When I returned to http://teaandthunder.com and tried to login through the site, I received this message:
The requested URL /lettersfromseattle/wp-login.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
I don’t seem to be able to get back into WordPress. I realize that this was probably a stupid mistake (it’s 3 AM here) and I’m fine with uninstalling and reinstalling the software as it had just been installed and I wouldn’t be losing anything–but I can’t find my way back in. I’d appreciate any insight. Thank you!
