# WordPress upgrade issue (Windows server)

 * Hi everyone,
 * I’m having an issue when trying to upgrade to the latest version of WordPress.
   My WordPress is running on a Windows server machine, however when I try to upgrade
   it asks for FTP credentials, but I do not have them.
 * Does anyone have any idea how I could overcome this issue and upgrade?

 * You need to do a manual update, where you are using the file management tools
   on the webserver rather than FTP access.
