WordPress Updating error

    I get the following error:

    “Could not copy file: /public_html/wp-content/upgrade/wordpress-2.8.2/wordpress/wp-comments-post.php

    Installation Failed”

    Any ideas of how to fix this??

    I had the same issue, then to fix it I changed the permission(CHMOD) on the upgrade directory to 777, then changed it back to 755 when the upgrade completed.

    Hi,

    Check with these options:

    -> Disable All plugins
    – assign 766 recursive permissions to wp-contents folder.

    If these options fails then upgrade wordpress manually.
