Your site will be running a very real risk of being hacked. You should always keep WordPress up-to-date.
how can i remove the old version of my plugins
If you update the plugins, the older versions will simply be replaced by the current versions.
I think many will be taking the risk as there are sooooooo many errors at the moment with themes and plugins all broken!
It is chaos out in WP land!
Hardly chaos. From a support perspective, this upgrade has been relatively free of major problems thus far.
