  • Menu looks fine to me. How did you solve it?

The menu got all mixed up when I tried to use the one click child plug in. I went to the appearance page at went back to the ‘home’ menu. Is it necessary to get the wordpress update? It took me ages to get my menu back. Im afraid if I update I will create a worse mess!

When they release an update, they tell in the blog post about it whether it has security releases in it. You probably don’t want to get more than a few point releases behind the latest version or else you run a security risk. If they say there is a vulnerability fix, then update right away. Same for plugins. As for making a mess, that’s pretty rare. Sometimes it doesn’t seem rare on this forum, but that’s because this forum supports hundreds of thousands of users. With that many people, someone is bound to experience some trouble with upgrading causing an old plugin to malfunction or some such. The recent releases of WordPress have been remarkable stable.

Okay thanks a lot for your advice Mathew. Im going to brace myself and go for it!

I did it and everything seems fine! Thanks
