  • Hi, @sidelancer.

    if I create two different pages that have the same subject, but different categories

    Assigning categories to pages isn’t something WordPress allows by default, so do you really mean posts instead?

    If not, and we really are talking about pages here, does that mean you’re also using a plugin that makes it possible for you to add categories to them? And if so, which plugin is that?

    My bad, I meant to say posts.

    @sidelancer, two Posts cannot share the same slug name, so WordPress will always add a numerical value to the end of the second (or third, or fourth) slug name you try to create which duplicates an already-existing slug name.

    (This behavior also applies to Pages, so I actually got a little sidetracked in my first reply with your mention of categories, when that aspect really didn’t matter, sorry about that.)

    Wow I can’t believe I never realized this before. Thanks for clearing that up!

    @sidelancer you’re welcome!
