    Good afternoon,

I have no idea if anyone can tell me anything about this, but I want to try anyway.

Until about 3 weeks back, I had a campaign running in Google Ads. The purpose of this campaign was to get people to download a WordPress manual. Now this campaign is limited only because of advertising on trade name WordPress.

So I was wondering if it is possible to get an exemption and where that should possibly be possible.

In fact, competitors of mine are running a similar campaign and it is still active as before.

Does anyone here have any idea if there is anything I can do about this?

Moved to Everything else WordPress, this is not a Requests and Feedback topic.

No one here can help you and I am closing this topic to new comments. Trademarks and copyrights are never a matter of public opinion.

WordPress protects it’s trademarks. For many complicated reasons involving trademarks as a subject matter they have to.

    See item #3.

If you like, feel free to contact the WordPress Foundation on their website. There is a contact link in the sidebar. That’s as far as that conversation goes here.

As I wrote above, this is not a matter of public opinion, it’s not a “I think you should do” topic and I am closing this topic for that reason.
