WordPress Theme Editor Problem: File edited successfully

  • Hey there! I have been having a problem with my theme editor all morning and after trying many ‘solutions’ that I have found here already, none of them have worked.

When I try to edit a theme file such as footer.php and click ‘Update File’, I get the message ‘File edited successfully’ whereas the code reverts back to what it was before I started to edit.

My file permissions for the file are set to 666, with the WP-Content, Themes and Default folders set to 755.

What is my problem and how do I fix it? 🙁
