 * Hi Guys –
 * I am new to the forum, looking to gain a better knowledge of wordpress, wp design.
 * I currently do a bit of simple web design (non-wordpress). This is my first time
to get interested in customized themes and I have an abundance of questions!
 * My main question is how to turn a design into a wordpress theme.
 * I recently came across the site of thesilentgiants.com and noticed they are using
wordpress. I contacted the designer of the site directly and he said he was unavailable
for work, but that I should be able to replicate the site appropriately using
common wordpress knowledge. Unfortunatley, I never have worked with wordpress.
With that said, I have been able to customize the coding of thesilentgiants to
fit my needs, however, it is a web design copy, not a wordpress theme. How do
I get my design to operate as a theme? Do I need to use customize php to make
the site fire? Right now, I have the css, html and javascript/jquery, but nothing
   php related.
 * Is there someone who can help with this and/or someone I need to contact or find
to help turning the design into a theme? I hope these questions make sense. I
am definitely a noob with this today, but hope I have provided enough clarity
to help address the questions I am searching for. Thanks in advance for the help.

 * You have many questions – The Codex is your friend – the first link has many
   guides for Theme development.
 * The Theme is what drives the look, feel and functions of your web sites. Another
trick is to look at the available Themes and find one that already does what
you need, there are also many Themes that can be customized by just picking options.
