WordPress Tags Stopped Working

I’ve been using WordPress Simple Tags for the longest time and it stopped working on me. Not only did Simple Tags stopped working, but I cannot add any tags to any post.

I believe this was caused after I installed Top 10 (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/top-10/). I deactivated the plugin and the tagging feature still does not work.

When I run Simple Tags, it says that X amount of tags were added, but they don’t show up in my posts. If you manually add a tag when editing a post, it will show up, but after you click “Update”, the tags you entered disappeared.

This leads me to believe there is something blocking the tags entered from communicating with the database. Does anyone know or anything that I can try to get the tags feature to work again?

I tried clicking “Repair Database” from cPanel and it still has not worked.
