WordPress suddenly slowed down.

Hi. I moved to a new host a few days ago and introduced an SSL.

Around the time my WordPress was updated, everything has completely slowed down and pages are taking over a minute to load when they were previously taking 2 seconds. I have checked with my host and everything is fine their end. Disabling all plugins hasn’t seemed to have much effect. When I reverted the theme to default then the speed returned to normal but obviously I do not want a default theme.
