    Hi
I have just got plug in WordPress Stats and it says I need to enter an API key. There is then a link to get the API key. BUT the API key I was given is in the name of my companies blog which is completely unrelated to this blog.
My company blog is currently hosted at wordpress .com where as my hobby blog is on its own domain (yes you read that correctly and we will be moving the company blog).

    What do I do?

Are you having a self-hosted blog/site or one at WordPress.com?

    It is self hosted.

I’m nearly sure the API is related to your WordPress.com account, not the blog.

Also I’d recommend using http://jetpack.me/ for the WordPress stats, it adds WordPress.com capabilities – WordPress stats being one of them – to your selfhosted blog.

Thank you Darren. Sorry for late reply – been sick 🙁
I will look into that. I don’t want it to be linked at all to my company blog so will see if I can get it changed.

Have you managed to get this sorted?
