# WordPress Stability Issues

 * About once a week, at random times, if I try loading any page on my site I get
   the dreaded white page with the words “Error Establishing a Database Connection”
 * If I wait a few minutes and refresh the page several times the problem goes away.
 * Needless to say it would be awful for a visitor to encounter this bug, does anyone
   have any ideas what might be causing it?
 * I’ve noticed others have had this issue (here’s a link to someone else [http://www.blog.web6.org/error-establishing-a-database-connection-wordpress/](http://www.blog.web6.org/error-establishing-a-database-connection-wordpress/))
 * The site is bleedmaroon.org.

 * I think this is an issue you need to raise with your hosting company. It might
   help if you logged the dates & times of these outages.

 * hmmm, I was wondering. I actually kinda hope it is, because otherwise I’m leaning
   towards somethings funny with a plugin.

 * I think it’s unlikely to be a plugin issue.
