I have tried all the usual advice, like disabling plugins and using the default theme. I have even tried a few ideas from similar posts on this forum. I have spoken to the support from my webhost and they have reported no problems, so I am stuck for ideas on how to resolve the issues. * My site more often than not loads under 5 secs but every so often it can take between 15 and 30 seconds to load. If you view this screenshot of the net panel in my browser, it shows that my site often takes an age to respond from the server before WordPress starts to load. The site is running w3 total cache, so that isn’t the problem. I installed a fresh copy of wordpress, and joomla on a different part of my hosting and I encountered the slowness in response time. I too think its a server issue but my host is adamant that it’s nothing to do with them. There’s plugin called the broken link checker. It will show you the server load in its settings. Basically, since checking links can drive the load up on the server, it shows you the current load in real time. It seems a bit high to me.
