• I’m trying to edit my wp-config file so my wordpress information is hidden on my site. When I edit it, the entire site goes blank. When I go to the wordpress dashboard I get the following error message:

    ERROR:The themes directory is either empty or doesn’t exist. Please check your installation

    Here is my wp-config file unedited:

    <?php

    /** Sets up WordPress vars and included files. */
    require_once(ABSPATH . ‘wp-settings.php’);`

    I’m trying to add the following code (just before the last line [something about require_once]):

    define('WP_CONTENT_FOLDERNAME', 'media');
    define('WP_CONTENT_DIR', ABSPATH . WP_CONTENT_FOLDERNAME );
    define('WP_CONTENT_URL', 'http://brightpixelstudios.com/'.WP_CONTENT_FOLDERNAME);
    define('WP_PLUGIN_DIR', WP_CONTENT_DIR . '/plugins' );
    define('WP_PLUGIN_URL', WP_CONTENT_URL.'/plugins');

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

  • Based on the way your example file is being displayed above, you may have some formatting issues in it…go over it, each line, carefully, and if necessary create a new one with only what WordPress needs, check site, then, add one line at a time of your additions to troubleshoot what may be happening.

    Sounds like some sound advice, thank you! I’ll give it a shot and let you know how it goes.
