• Hi All,
I’m doing a favor for a friend who runs a young athletics club. They have WP blog, but the site is showing up in a frameset and so isn’t getting found by Google for common searches. This is the site:
    http://young-athletes.co.uk/

I’ve searched the forums, but can’t find a solution. I normally do a clean WP instal, but never seen this before (I didn’t instal this one).
Does anyone have an idea how to get some HTML back!?
Any help appreciated from you clever folk, even if it’s just to say, ‘do a clean installation’.
    Cheers
    Martin

  • Do you have ads of any ad-serving company in your site?

    Hi Krishna,
I don’t think they do. It’s a voluntary organisation run for kids.

Click on the link above and see if you see ads. Also see other posts/ pages? It seems an iFrame injecting ads have entered your site, if you have not included ads. It is similar to hacking.

    Thanks Krishna,
I’ll check that out! Sounds like it needs a re-installation. I suspect they didn’t activate Askimet before going live… 🙁

Have a look at this validation report. It shows only a frameset, and nothing else, more or less like a case of hacking. The ads are coming from that (adware). It is better to take a back up and do a complete re-installation of WordPress. Still it is possible that security loop holes will remain for which you need to tighten security, and possibly seek the hosting company’s help too.

    Thanks Krishna,
I’ll drop them the bad news. This hasn’t been set up for too long, so I think I’ll do them a favour and comlete a brand new installation on a new database, then initiate all the security that WP has to offer.
    Cheers Mate!

    You are welcome.
