  • Hi guys,

My wordpress site hacked and when I visit my website it is re-directing to “antispam.tn”
What is the solution for this?

How do I retrieve my web site safely? 🙁

    Thanks

  • Hi,

The simplest way to fix this is to restore the website from backup and then immediately update WordPress and plugins. Ideally you’d do this while the website is not publicly available.

Alternatively, if you don’t have a backup available try and log in to the site and disable your plugins one by one and see whether this removes the redirect.

In general always make sure your site is up to date and that you only install plugins from trustworthy sources like the WordPress Plugin directory.

    Hope this helps

I’m so sorry to hear about your site. 🙁

Hackers sometimes get the best of us. You will need to find the root of the hack and remove it. This is easier said than done, but I personally use a paid service because they are experts.

If you have multiple websites in your account that makes cleanup very difficult because infections tend you spread throughout your hosting account.

I would also recommend you look into a company like sucuri.net which specializes in site clean up.

    🙂

You need to start working your way through the resources on this page. I’d also suggest reviewing http://ottopress.com/2009/hacked-wordpress-backdoors/

Anything less will probably result in the hacker walking straight back into your site again.

    Hi,

    Thanks guys.
I have tried several options like checking the root directory, restoring the back and even completely deleted the site including database to start from the scratch.

But still once I install wordpress again and after creating database freshly it is redirecting me to a porn site when I checked.

    🙁 I am totally lost.
