Hello, I have been stripping my site from wordpress and using it solely as a tool to write articles. My final hurdle to overcome is shortcodes. I COULD write my own shortcode parser (because I have no idea how I would use theirs outside of wordpress), but it seems to me that the easiest solution would be to just have Shortcode be parsed as an article is saved, not when it is loaded onto a page.

    If anyone can help me:
    1. Find a way to make shortcodes parsed as an article is published
    2. Suggest a plugin that does this
    3. Find a way to make the shortcodes parser work outside of wordpress (with all native shortcodes available)

    It would be MOST appreciated.

Would think that Integrating_WordPress_with_Your_Website and Shortcode_API would work for that.

The reason for me taking wordpress out of the site is because it uses too many resources. Those includes alone take a relatively large amount of processing power. If I have no other options then I will do that, but i’m hoping to be able to go with option 1 to be honest.
