WordPress SEO fails to update

    WordPress version: 3.4.2
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.8.7

    I did this: Clicked update to WordPress SEO 1.3.4.1. via WordPress.
    I expected the plugin to: update.
    Instead it fails to install (message: Installation unsuccesful).

    A following check with an ftp program reveals that the WordPress SEO folder is now empty except but for a CSS folder icon (also empty). All SEO work is gone.

    I tried disabling all plugins before updating but it still fails.

    What to do? Please? Really looking forward to resolve this.
