I have a problem with sitemap XML generation using Yoast’s WordPress SEO plugin. It produces around a dozen files and although most of them work, some return this error when accessed:

    XML Parsing Error: not well-formed
    Location: http://www.mysite.com/post-sitemap1.xml
    Line Number 8605, Column 41:

It then points out what appears to be a faulty character or something in the XML.

I’m concerned this will be preventing the XML from being indexed and would like to fix the broken characters but I’m not sure how to – presumably I’m going to have to search for them in the database and fix them manually?

I’m using WordPress SEO 1.1.5 on WordPress 3.3.1.
