WordPress SEO by Yoast sitemap has "#" on first line, Google reports error

  • The first line of the post-sitemap.xml file generated by WordPress SEO by Yoast is:
    # 100% 0 Daily 2012-03-12 00:58

… with no url, just the “#” sign. Google is reporting a “Invalid URL” error for that file, and asking for it to be corrected.

What would cause that line to be generated, and how can I fix it?

    Thanks for any help.

Still having this issue. No idea what’s causing it. Any clues?

When you click on it, the url associated with the # sign is /post-sitemap1.xml#
