WordPress Security

  • I was curious about the best way to secure a wordpress blog from hackers. Obviously, if they are intent on doing something to your blog, they can and will do it; but what are some good steps we can take to make they jobs harder? What sort of permissions for certain files for example, would be a great place to start.

  • Have a safe password that no one can guess (plenty of characters and numbers mixed in).

Use spam protection plugins like Akismet, SpamKarma, Bad Behavior.

Keep updated to the latest version of WP.

    There’s more, but that’s a good start.
