 * Hello,
 * I have WordPress 3.1 installed with the WordPress “Twenty Ten” theme.
 * With this setup, there is a search box on the right. It has the area where you
   type the search words. It also has one of those old-fashioned gray buttons next
   to it that says “Search”.
 * How do you get rid of this button?
 * I’m trying to find where this stuff is in the WordPress .php files, but I can’t
   find it anywhere.
 * Do you think the search box component is in the Theme .php files, or do you think
   it’s somewhere in the core WordPress files?

 * By creating a [child theme](http://codex.wordpress.org/Child_Themes) and then
   hiding or styling the button in your child theme’s stylesheet.
 * Don’t edit the Twenty Ten theme itself. Your changes **will** be over-written
   the next time you upgrade WordPress or the theme.
