    I am using wordpress search and it isnt working properly. Or i am not understand how to work it properly. either way, i need some help.

    When I type in 2001 Ford 350 into my search, the ford product doesnt come up. I am using tags in my product listings.

    Any thoughts on why its not coming up correctly?

  • Your site is awfully slow. That said, I just looked around and you may want to look at the WooCommerce area in WP-Admin and be sure the product post for the product in question is set to “Public”. Also, the default search only searches titles as far as I know but there are plugins to add further functionality to the search if you do a bit of searching I’m sure you can find something that will search the body of the posts as well. 🙂

    Yes, I know the site is slow. According to some it is a server issue. GoDaddy 🙁 We are also working on trying to figure that out.

    The product post can be found thru the Ford link. Just not thru the search.

    I guess I will look for a plugin that searches the body of the post

    I see you are using tags. I tested the search on a site that I manage and it uses the tags, categories, and title. I would suggest separately tagging each year on the posts rather than tagging all the years as one tag the way you are. That might help it to come up in search when you type in 2001 Ford
